This philosophy calls for thoughtful, comprehensive formulation: formulas designed to calm reactive-looking skin while supporting the skin’s natural barrier so it feels more resilient over time.
How it all started
The story of Treats Lab begins when our founder, Christine — a Creative Director with over a decade of experience working with beauty brands — decided to leave the agency world to create something of her own.
At the time, her daughter was 8 years old and had experienced small bouts of eczema since birth. As a lifelong skin enthusiast, Christine knew to avoid steroids and immunosuppressants, but found very little on the market that offered gentle, thoughtful care for sensitive skin.
Learning about the complexity of skin challenges over the years, she realized there had to be a better approach. Her introduction to the skin microbiome and its role in supporting healthy-looking skin was a revelation.
Inspired by this new perspective, she spent two years collaborating with cutting-edge research labs in Korea to develop the formulas for ABC Lotion and R+R Mist — and Treats Lab was born.
